It seems that Don Cook's "Damn Yankees" Cuda FC was just about everyone's favorite flopper back in the day. David's painting, shows us Pat Foster in 71, behind the wheel at Orange County during the PDA meet doing a burnout in the tower lane.
As history has proven, OC International Raceway, certainly was the Mecca of Funny Car Racing. OC was to Funny Cars, as Graceland was to Elvis...This painting of Pat Foster coming out of the bleach box doing a burnout, is the epitome of what Funny Car Racing was all about... " I'm really happy with how well this painting turned out, this is one of my favorites. The contrast of the car just coming out of the shadow of the OC tower, gives this image a very photorealistic quality. I am certain that you will enjoy this painting as much as I do....Also I want to Thank and give credit to Pat Broiler for his great photo reference help for this painting! " DCP
