Don Gay's 1966 Candy Red "Infinity" Pontiac GTO was certainly one beautiful FX Match Racer (before they were called "Funny Cars," these cars were known as Factory Experimental Match Racers). This was one of the more sanitary looking FXers. Even with it's altered wheelbase the car still very much resembled the factory car, although it was far from that. Don Gay and Jay Howell constructed the car from the ground up. It featured an all fiberglass body, and the long backend of the car gave it some extra kick; and you hardly noticed the injector-hat quietly peering out of the hood.
