After the initial failure/ success of the "Little Red Wagon" Dick Branstner decided to build a rear engine ("Rainbow Charger ") Dodge Dart. It was such a good idea and so well built, that the car changed hands a couple of times, aka, the "Polka Dart," and finally ended up in the hands of "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, where it still resides in his Museum.
I chose to illustrate the little Dart in it's original form from 1965 while still painted in the rainbow candy colors applied by the Alexander Bros. of Detroit.
