One the most successful (and my favorite) front motored dragsters of all time, was Roland Leong's "Hawaiian." This Kent Fuller built car went through several variations, winning races in three successive years, 65, 66, and 67 a very unusual feat for a car at this fast developing time in the sport. (We will read more about this car when we get to the 67 Season)
First driven by Don Prudhomme, then (as seen here) by the late Mike Snively. In 66 this car won the WinterNationals and the US Nationals in that same year, quite the feat for such "Show-stopping" little Dragster. In fact this car was so gorgeous it made several appearances in "Custom Car” Shows...
The car is seen here hard charging off the line at the US Nationals at Indy, a classic image of one of Drag Racing’s most historic cars.
