This is the other half of the 1965 match race at Lions against the Stellings & Tapia “Tanqueray” car, this is Kenny Safford’s B&M "Tork-Master" Special.
This car is quite different from the “Tanqueray” car, running a longer wheelbase, no body up front and no cowling over the roll cage and parachute. Stripped down to be as light as possible, this car set both ends of the National record at Fremont running a 7.46 at 214mph...Painted a brilliant Candy Blue this car was still a sleek beauty to behold. It just looks fast!
