"This is the sister piece to the "Psycho Pstang", and it has also been hanging in my living room for years now. My "Late" buddy Bob Wagner, did the photo spread of Davis & Ingram's beautiful little Fiat for "Hot Rod" Magazine. It was one of his images that I painted.
This is the sister piece for "Psyho," because both of these cars ended up using Mustang bodies on their "Altered" chassis, and both cars won the " Hot Rod " Magazine Championships at Riverside in successive years...
I always thought Davis & Ingram's Fiat Altered was of the cleanest in the sport, but they probably became famous once the "Colt 45" Mustang body was lowed on the chassis...They won on their first outing with the car, when it was still in primer. They won "Super Eliminator" at the 66 "Hot Rod Magazine" meet at Riverside.
This is another car that stands alone, on it's own, so I felt it was quite appropriate to do this portrait as just the car by itself...
I hope you enjoy one of my "Plum Fiat" as much as I have...
