One of the best features of Tom Conel's Vette is the George Cerney, Nat Quick paint job. Cerney certainly became the "Master" of painting Drag Racing cars...All those beautiful Top Fuel cars of the sixties were mostly the work of this man...George didn't paint many Funny Cars, but you couldn't tell by looking at the "Mister "T" Vette...This paint scheme became the standard for custom painting, for probably the next 30 years.. I'm sure you have seen many cars painted in a like manner...Nat Quick became a legend as a sign painter, and his work on this car's painted grill, and bumpers is superb!
